Not back for a month
Ciara is doing well. Doesn't need to go back in to the hospital for a month. Looking good, putting on weight and her hair is growing back. Off to see her grandparents this weekend.
At the end of March, 2007, our three year old daughter Ciara was diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma. This is our log of what we as a family are going through as we try and help Ciara through this serious childhood cancer. Bald Kids and Bed Pans refers to the weird world that cancer parents belong.

Just found your blog after searching for the term 'defibrotide'. It's Kim Prendergast, mother of Beth, and you may remember me as the Canadian ditz who didn't know how to turn on a kettle. We too are now in the quiet but 'wish we weren't here' HD unit at St JOhns for the start of Beth's BMT. I've not read all your blog but my god, the hell you guys went through. I knew you didn't have an easy ride but it sounded like Satan's idea of pain and suffering. At the time, you should have stopped more parents in the halls, like myself, and said 'My family's absolutely knackered; go and get me a takeaway.'
